A Statement of Support for the actions at Faslane 365 has been so far signed by 67 elected representatives, including the following from Wales: Martin Caton MP (Labour) , Dai Davies MP (People’s Voice), Elfyn Llwyd MP (Leader of Plaid Cymru), Hywel Williams MP (Plaid Cymru), Janet Davies AM (Plaid Cymru), Alun Ffred Jones AM (Plaid Cymru), Elin Jones AM (Plaid Cymru), Helen Mary Jones AM (Plaid Cymru),Dr. Dai Lloyd AM (Plaid Cymru), Janet Ryder AM (Plaid Cymru), Leanne Wood AM (Plaid Cymru),Jill Evans MEP (Plaid Cymru – Wales), Jaci Taylor (Aberystwyth, Councillor), Dr. Dafydd Iwan (President of Plaid Cymru)

The Statement of Support: “Like all weapons of mass destruction Trident is illegal under international law and is a complete betrayal of our humanity. In the absence of any genuine intention by the state to undertake disarmament I/this organisation applaud and support those who respond to this gross evil by peaceful actions of civil resistance, including the nonviolent disruption of the Trident submarine base at Faslane by blockading.”

Jill Evans, Chair of CND Cymru commented: “Nuclear weapons are immoral, illegal and a huge waste of resources. Britain has laws to prevent the taking of one person’s life by another, why does the state then threaten the lives of millions of innocent people by continuing to maintain and prepare nuclear weapons for use? By taking part in the blockade of Faslane tomorrow I will be taking a stand on behalf of those people in Wales who want to create a just and peaceful word, free from the fear of nuclear annihilation.”

We joined Seize The Day on a blockade of Faslane Nuclear base, was a very empowering weekend. Sarah and Tina was the chain gang whilst
John drove the van between the two gates at 1-2 MPH. All this can be seen on the video below.
